Writer's picture: theentropycodetheentropycode

Happy New Year, Entropy Code Community!

We’re kicking off 2025 with some exciting updates, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share them with you. Whether you’ve been here since day one or just joined the journey, your support continues to push The Entropy Code and Dream Code to new heights.

1. Website Overhaul + Merch Coming Soon! Big news—our website is getting a major makeover! Not only will it look sleeker and more immersive, but it will also feature a brand-new storefront, making it easier than ever to grab Entropy Code merch. The first draft of the redesign is already looking phenomenal, and I can’t wait for you all to see it.

Stay tuned for launch details and exclusive previews!

2. More Film Festival Selections! We’ve been on a roll with film festival selections and awards! Here are the latest updates:

The Entropy Code:

  • Selected: Aussie Gold Film Festival

  • Selected: EXTRA Sci-Fi Festival Verona

  • Honorable Mention: Always Late TV Movie Awards

  • Selected: Kalakari Film Fest

  • Selected: Cinema Carnival

  • Selected: Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival (MiSciFi)

Dream Code:

  • Winner: Vesuvius International Film Awards (Best Original Score) – Huge shoutout to Rory Laws, the incredible composer behind every second of The Entropy Code and Dream Code. Rory's work captures the essence of modern-day Fantasia, bringing a rich, immersive sound to both projects. With a diverse background in music production and scoring, his ability to blend orchestral grandeur with contemporary tones has truly elevated our films.

  • Selected: Lift-Off First-Time Filmmaker Sessions

  • Selected: Guernsey Film Fest

  • Selected: Crown Point International Film Festival

It’s amazing to see both projects getting recognition worldwide, and we couldn’t have done it without your encouragement!

3. Charting Our Progress To give you a clearer picture of where our projects stand, we've put together a handy chart breaking down the festivals and accolades each project has received. Keep an eye out for it in our community group!

4. Captor and Captive Character Designs are a Hit!Zine has been working hard bringing the 3D characters to life, and the latest Captor and Captive poses have taken off online. Seeing Reddit’s response has been incredible—anytime you can get their approval, you know you’re onto something special. Check them out in the group if you haven’t already!

5. Looking Ahead We’re still in the running for the Andrews Bernard Award, which could bring up to $100,000 in completion funds, thanks to Steven Soderbergh. Your continued support in rating and sharing our project on Decentralized Pictures is invaluable. Let’s keep the momentum going!

In addition, we're hard at work on 3D sets for The Entropy Code. While the 2D visuals are stunning, the characters will spend a lot of time at the dig site, and utilizing 3D environments will allow for more dynamic camera movements and immersive storytelling. It’s an exciting step forward!

Thank You! As always, thank you for being part of this journey. Your comments, shares, and encouragement keep us going. We’re excited for what’s ahead in 2025, and we’re glad to have you along for the ride. Let’s make this year the biggest yet!

Cheers, Narottama
